Basilico began as a family-run Italian restaurant with the clear mission of sharing the authentic flavors of Italy in the heart of Platja d’Aro. For years, it has been a meeting place for those seeking honest dishes, traditional recipes, and a warm atmosphere.
Over time, Basilico became a local staple: wood-fired pizzas, fresh pasta, creamy risottos, and homemade desserts were part of a menu that won over locals and visitors alike.
A restaurant that didn’t need to shout to stand out: its cuisine spoke for itself.


Basilico begins a new era with the Grupo Algar with a clear gastronomic vision: elevating authenticity without losing the essential.
The group, which also successfully manages Enjoy it and Pura Brasa, brings experience, quality, and a way of understanding the restaurant industry based on honesty, innovation, and respect for the product.
We maintain what has always made us unique: Italian cuisine made with soul, quality ingredients, and friendly service.
And we’ve added improvements that look to the future: renovated spaces, a refined menu, and a more complete experience for all our guests.
